Finding Happiness

We tend to always want more instead of looking at what we have now and be content with that. We will never find happiness with this way of thinking. If we are not happy with our present situation we will never obtain happiness. For example, with myself I look at where I currently live and work, and instead of being happy that I have a roof over my head and a way to pay my bills, I’m worrying about the future and how long will it be like this. Looking at other peoples lives, seeing how they live and wondering why me.

In order to be happy you must be happy with the things you currently have. If what you physically have does not bring you joy get rid of it, in terms of material things. If a certain group of friends or people do not make you happy change your friends group. If you’re not happy with where you’re living, but can’t really do anything about it redecorate your space, move around some furniture, declutter and pray over your space. To make it more livable for you.

Play with the cards you have been dealt, the best way you can. The true key to being happy, is to be happy where we are, while working towards what we want.
