Every now and then its good to take a break from everyday activities to reset your emotions. Trust me if you don’t you’ll be a ticking time bomb. And now that it’s back to school season, now more than ever please take care of your body and mind. It’s easy to get carried away with the tasks at hand or to procrastinate until the very last minute about a homework assignments or a project. Remember to pace yourself and give your self enough time to complete everything.
First I suggest getting a planner, it doesn’t have to be anything fancy. You could even print off monthly views for each month of the semester. Once you get a syllabus from every class, use a different color pen or highlighter to represent each class. Then fill out the calendar, using this will help you see a monthly view of everything that must be done as noted by your professor. Sort out everything so you wouldn’t have to stress out at the last minute. Even color code your study sessions so you exactly what to do and when for what class!!!
If you do happen to get stressed out regardless because it will happen, pick a day in the week where you will have a self care day. This day you will relax and do anything you want to do. My favorite is making it a self care day where I do my hair nail and have a spa day at home. Create a self care routine so at least you can feel and look like you have everything together.
