Are you like me, someone who has all of these passions and goals for life, but after one minor inconvenience you’re ready to forget all about your dreams, then never complete anything? If there is one aspect about myself that I don’t like it is that I always start something and never complete it because life gets in the way. But in this post I want to touch on finding the zeal for life again and how to follow through with your life passions.
- Remember your why. For me I think about the sacrifices that my parents made in order for me to have the life experiences they never got the chance to. And by me living through those experiences, it gives them a second chance at experiencing them too.
- Utilizing what you have. It’s easy to look at your life and feel like you are not equipped enough to follow through on your goals. We look at social media and see all of these people with the latest everything. However, we don’t know how hard they worked or if they worked at all to get to the place they are at. To be honest this is also something I struggled with and still struggle with. I always tell myself I can’t do this because I don’t have that, or I can’t experience this because a certain person is not with me. I recently learned – and it’s now kind of a mantra for me now – that God will not bless you with more until you are grateful for what you already have. And this has directly changed my mindset and opened me up to more possibilities in life.
- Pick one goal and make progress on it every day. To know me is to know that I will work on everything, but that will get you nowhere fast. Pick one thing, work on it and perfect it as much as you can. Everything has a learning curve and no one is a master at everything.
