Looking back, I’ve been writing in journals and diaries for as long as I can remember. It has always been my go to, so I can release my thoughts and energy for the day. You see, I’m a over-thinker so if I do not get my thoughts and ideas down on paper there is no rest for me.
In my brightest and my darkest times I write, I may not be good at it, but I have to let it out.
Writing allows you to release your feelings that you otherwise might not share or in my case never got the chance to share. For me writing allows me to rationalize how I am feeling in a nonjudgmental way.
Writing allows you to be creative, tell the story however you feel it should be told. After I write I always feel better if I felt bad before, or really happy after writing about something good that I never want to forget.
So go grab a pretty notebook and your favorite pen and just write down everything your feeling at the moment, or anything good that you will want to remember or anything bad you just want to forget. Just get it down, trust me you will feel better.
