Looking back at memories and happy times is a good thing to do. But what happens when all you remember are bad times or those time are more frequent than the good. What I like to do is journal about it. I believe when we start thinking about a negative past time or just have negative thoughts in general, we should write about it to help let that feeling go. It’s better to write to yourself about an issue than talking to someone since that can cause a whole new vibe to a situation you’re trying to let go.
Once I write about my problems I sort of forget about then eventually get over it. I say eventually because it takes a lot for me to let go. After my mind is clear, way down in the future I’ll read about and see my growth from then to now. Nine times out of ten I’ve grown significantly, in how I would deal with my emotions if that situation should arise again.
