On instagram I’m seeing a lot of posts of people claiming 2022 to being the year of the “Me season”. People wanting to put more time and effort on them and their lively hoods, and I love it. Since it’s something I will be pursing as well. And it makes me so excited to know others are doing this too.
To know me is to know that I’ve been loyal to EVERYTHING but me, in every aspect of my life. Family and friends always had me to turn to, work has definitely taken advantage of my loyalty and now I’m feeling the burnout of all of this. But this was my doing, honestly we go through life believing that people will have the same mentality that you do, but that’s not always the case. This is not to say all people are like that, some will try their hardest to reciprocate or some people have other ways of showing their appreciation. But others, baby! You as a person have to learn discernment, cause those “other” people will lead you on and have you wondering what’s left from right, and those are the people you have to leave alone.
Those of you who have been loyal to Everyone and everything but you.
