All my life I’ve wanted to belong, whether that be within a friend group, amongst family or even at past places of employment I always tried finding my place within them and that never really worked out of me. Until just recently I thought why am I trying to fit in when I can stand out. You see we are all created for a purpose and none of it lies within finding legitimacy amongst others. Once I figured that out it all made sense and life really started falling into place for me.
Before Was trying to be like others in hopes they will see the relatability in me, or I would attempt to do things like them thinking others will like me more since it works for them. But those actions are so far from the truth, when you are true to yourself and follow your purpose and do what feels right for you, trust me the right people will follow.
Dr. Seuss couldn’t have said it any better, “Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is your than you.”
