Teenage Self

Writing a letter to you teenage self I believe can be very beneficial to our growth. It helps us remember things that either made us happy or sad growing up. It grounds you because you’re at a place in your life you never thought you would be. If you’re in a good place it humbles you because you’ll remember all the times you thought you wouldn’t make it through a certain situation but you did. If you’re in a bad place, writing to your teenage self can remind you of the promises you made to yourself and that can help pull you out of whatever funk you’re in. Helping you push yourself for something greater.

Hopefully one day I’ll be comfortable enough to share my personal letter to my teenage self, but for now here’s this:

Dear Teenage Me!!

It really doesn’t matter what other people think, just push yourself and try everything. Don’t half ass it because its too hard or because you don’t want to do it. You’re living for you and your happiness. as naive as this sounds you literally can do anything you put your mind to. I’ve  seen it a few times and you’re a force to be reckoned with!! No one can tell you otherwise once you have that goal in mind, you always find a way. Thats what I love about you the most.

Try writing a letter to your teenage self or younger self, it can be really motivating. I think this is something we should be doing through out our lives just to give us a reminder of what we are capable of.
